Movin' Easy Dancewear

Blue Lapis Light will premiere Limitless, their newest site-specific dance work, outside the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum Thursday and Friday Nov. 4-5 at 7pm. This aerial dance company will astound, amaze and entertain the audience by utilizing the museum’s outer architecture as their stage, theatre and performance space. This piece was inspired by the  museum’s current special exhibit, Tango Alpha Charlie: Texas Aviation Celebration which will be on showcase until January 9, 2011. You will want to arrive early to secure the best view from the Lone Star Plaza directly in front of the museum,  located at the corner of N. Congress and MLK (1800 N. Congress).   It is $12 for a seat in the risers and free to stand, donations are encouraged. See you there!

China inspired us all last year with the opening to the Bejing Olympics.  Now China’s newest rage is theme parks with all ages throwing water on each other.  http://tinyurl.com/ygk8ar3    Sounds like our participatory site specific dances.

Get with it dancers.  Make us a place to bring our entire families for your site specific dance spectaculars.  Give us a place that we can come every day.  Teach us to explore interacting with each other and our environment in all your creative ways.  Get dancers together to make one media voice that encourages all of us to be more active and to grow in the exploration that only dance can bring.

And while you are at it, offer related classes in every style of dance.  Use the China Olympics opening as an inspiration for people to move their bodies in powerful ways.
