Vote in MyMutation dance competition
Friday, August 20th, 2010MyMutation online dance competition! We have our 12 finalists for Round 2. Now it is up to you, the public, to vote for your favourite dancers who will move on to Round 3. Thanks to all those who entered, our MyMutation Judge, Kate Champion has commented that the entries were “fascinating…” and she was pleased with the various number of styles, from contemporary to tap and street dance. We received entries for MyMutation from Canada, China and all over Australia!
MyRound 2 requires the finalists to create a new mutation of Sarah McCreanor’s 40 second solo and add another 20 seconds in their own style. The finalists are also making video blogs so that we can all get to know the dancers.
Now we’d like you to watch the finalists as they create their new mutations, see who stands out and goes above and beyond. Visit the MyMutation YouTube webpage from Monday 23 August and click on VoteTab to vote for your favourite dancer. Voting closes on Sunday 29 August 2010 so make sure you visit the website and vote, you only have one week! The six finalists with the most votes will then move into Round 3.
It would be great if you could post this information on your website or blog to let your dance community know so that they can vote. Please direct them to the MyMutation YouTube webpage at http://www.youtube.com/sydneyoperahouse where they will be able to view the solos and vote for their favourite dancer. I have attached a picture for you to use if you wish.
Thanks for your support for MyMutation, we really do appreciate your effort here at the Sydney Opera House!
Kind regards,
Lisa
